Excha CEO, EHInge House Ireland National Travellers Service (EHITS) is an organisation of Traveller and non-Travellers and a leading provider of front line and support services to some of the most marginalised Travellers in Ireland since 1980. EHITS is a multi-disciplinary frontline service provider offering Education and Training Services, Children and Young People Services, Family Support and Crisis Intervention Services, Addiction Services and the National Traveller Mental Health Service. EHITS also deliver partnership services through training, provision of expertise and dual working with other organisations providing services to Travellers in Ireland. EHITS take pride in working with some of the most marginalised members of the Traveller community.

THE POSITION

Reporting to the voluntary Chair and Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will oversee and coordinate the delivery of the overall strategic and operational plans of the organisation. The new CEO will be responsible for developing and implementing EHITS's new strategy (2024 - 2028) and will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the organisation, including leadership of staff and the discharge of executive functions.

The CEO will have the capacity to take a strategic view with regard to funding programmes and an ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the organisation. The role of advocacy is one of the central tenets of EHITS as is fostering self-advocacy for people in the travelling community.

REQUIREMENTS

Suitably qualified and interested candidates will be operating at or near CEO standing, capable of leading a diverse and voluntary organisation. Core competencies will include leadership, strategic vision, and organisational awareness, coupled with resilience and the ability to contribute at all levels.

The ideal candidate will be a credible advocate for EHITS's mission and have appropriate financial acumen along with the experience of managing and developing teams of people. Candidates must be exceptional communicators with the capacity to passionately engage, inspire, and influence stakeholders in the delivery of the vision of EHITS.

A commitment to the core ethos, mission, vision and values of EHITS will be essential coupled with an awareness of the evolution and development of EHITS.
