Oberstown Children Detention Campus (Oberstown) provides care and education for young people referred by the courts on detention or remand orders, supporting them to address their offending and return successfully to society. The campus is located on a single site in Oberstown, Lusk, Co. Dublin. Oberstown falls under the aegis of the Children Detention Schools Unit in the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) - formerly the Department of Children and Youth Affairs. Oberstown is governed by a single Board of Management which is appointed by the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.
THE POSITION
Reporting to the Director of Oberstown, the Head of Corporate Services is a new key leadership position that will support the overall management of the Campus leading a team of c.20 staff across Finance, HR, IT, Information, Risk and Governance.
The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring that Oberstown's support functions operate in a way that optimises the overall effectiveness of the organisation and enables the delivery of its organisational strategy. The role is a key member of the senior management team and also works closely with the Board and relevant Board sub-committees in relation to governance, risk, financial control, and strategy implementation.
REQUIREMENTS
Suitably qualified and interested candidates will have demonstrable experience of leading a diverse team, while supporting organisational development and change. With a record of success either in human resources, financial management or organisational change, the appointee will have a proven track record in a multi-disciplinary context linking service delivery to strategic objectives. Candidates must be exceptional communicators with the capacity to engage, inspire, and influence a broad range of stakeholders.

REMUNERATION
A fixed annual salary of €98,665 to €122,041 (Principal Officer Standard Scale) plus benefits will be on offer to the successful candidate.
